Mission Statement

The VEINS is an established Venous Endovascular Interventional Strategies group, comprised of experts in the field whose common primary aim is to provide comprehensive education in the treatment of patients with venous disease. Our goal is to present cutting-edge and future strategies for venous treatment to cardiologists and other healthcare providers such as vascular medicine specialists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, cardiology fellows, registered vascular technologists, and registered nurses, whose ultimate goal is developing their own comprehensive venous interventional program.

Educational Program Objectives

At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the anatomy and pathophysiology of the venous system
  • Identify the appropriate means to implement a venous program
  • Recognize the importance of women’s health in venous disease
  • Discuss all aspects of venous thrombosis
  • Identify the role of noninvasive tests invenous disease diagnosis
  • Discuss all facets of chronic venous insufficiency, including superficial and deep venous insufficiency
  • Recognize the various treatment options for chronic venous disease
  • Identify the pathophysiology of wounds and appropriate treatment therapies
